*sigh* I have local admin on my PC, since I quickly changed the password when I first got in (It was still logged into local admin) I did this just incase their systems were poorly configured, aka stupid restrictions like no ability to right click.
So when I got my proper user and everything I logged in and god it's painfully restrictive, now however monitoring software is installed and it's not starting properly on my PC (service is manual not automatic) I showed him that it would just need to be changed to automatic but he just nodded his head and walked off. I'm gonna change it to automatic on the local admin tomorrow but still, it's damn stupid having the fear of being suspended in an IT academy for knowing basic IT and testing things. Anyone could change the local admin password on these PC's if they want to, suspending someone due to them knowing how to do things is the wrong attitude to have, use them to make things better there as the people who have that kind of knowledge generally want to make things better themselves. |
